A Note to Teachers

Overview:

Use of this module presupposes a basic working knowledge of model building, specifically STELLA. A tutorial is provided for self instruction. In addition students need to have covered Mendelian genetics, natural selection, and the elements of an ecosystem, especially food chains. The module interconnects these biological concepts to solve real world problems. Background is given for the Wolf Wars problem, but students may branch out in many directions once they understand modeling.

Analysis/Conclusion Questions:

Additional questions can be added to any lesson plan from the Instructional Framework relating to modeling. These questions can be tailored to class level and time constraints.
