Anatomy & Physiology Flowchart Questions

These are questions that might be asked the students as they make their presentations defending their flowcharts.

Which variables did you decide to use in your flowchart?  Why?

Why did you not use _____________?  (Any of the other variables)

Can you think of any other variables that you think should be considered when looking at your flowchart?  How much difference do you think they would make if they were included?

How did you decide how to connect your variables?  How certain are you of your connections?  What evidence do you have that your connections are correct?

Look at the energy into your system and the energy coming out.  How should they compare?  (They should be the same.)  Do they compare as you think they should?  Can you describe what is happening to the food that enters the body and that is not used to produce exercise?

What types of foods does a person eat? (Fats, proteins, carbohydrates)  How are they treated differently in the body?  Would those differences make any difference to what happens to body weight and the percentage of body fat?

You have connected _______ to _________(Pick any two blocks.).  What is the relationship between those two blocks?  (The first one—the one with an arrow leading into the other one—should cause or determine the value of the second one.)
