    1 2 3 4 What the teacher wants to see in the Journal 
    Keep a daily Journal during the entire module.  Write on one side only of the paper and use a pen.  The writing must be legible. A record that lacks several days and a product that is sloppy and lacks planning, support data, and/or thoughtful reflections by the students An almost daily record that is not organized or refined with little support data and little thought by the students in reflections A daily record that is well crafted, clear, and thorough with some support data and thoughtful reflections by the student A daily record that is well crafted, organized, thorough, and clear with detailed support data and thoughtful reflections by the student Journal includes a daily record of investigations and original and thoughtful individual reflections on those investigations.
