Required Materials / Resources:

• Computer Lab Access
• Computers should have the following programs loaded:
  • STELLA (High Performance Systems, Inc.)
  • PowerPoint (Microsoft)
  • Excel (Microsoft)
• LCD Projector or other method to display monitor display for class
• Library Access
• Dice (100 per student group)
• Drawing Paper
• Crayons, Markers, Colored Pencils, etc.
• Whiteboard, chalkboard, or overhead projector and screen

Student Prerequisites:

This unit was designed for use in a first year chemistry class. The unit was designed for use during second semester but could be used earlier. Students should be familiar with isotope notation prior to beginning the unit. It is expected that students have previously used Excel and PowerPoint.
