Look at the data linked here.

It's a pretty long list of data and doesn't seem to mean much.  In reality it is actual data collected on a trip.  What kind of trip?  That is the question you're going to answer.

Question:
Given these data , what was the mode of transportation?

Is it a bicycle?  Was I walking?  Is it an airplane?  To limit the possibilities, I will let you know that these data do come from a mode of transportation, not from a living creature (like a bird.)  So what mode of transportation is it?  How do you justify your answer?  How confident are you in your answer?  Science is all about finding and classifying patterns. This activity involves looking for a pattern in the data and matching it to patterns you might see in different modes of transportation.

This module is intended to be used with a kinematics curriculum.  All the information needed to complete the module is available to the right.
