Activities:

  1. Students will make observations of plasmolysis in cells (the effect of a hypertonic solution on cells).
  2. Teacher will briefly introduce the Superfund sites in Harris County and surrounding area. PowerPoint presentation, Superfund Sites in Texas
  3. Teacher demonstration to assist students in uncovering the meaning of “parts per million” and “parts per billion”. (Handout and transparency)
