In order to be successful in this Gas Law Module, you should possess the following:

Mathematics Skills

• Rearrange two, three, four, five, and six variable algebraic equations.

• Solve algebraic equations.

• Use a scientific calculator.

• Be familiar with scientific notation.

• Be familiar with  spreadsheets, especially Excel (helpful but not required).

Chemistry Skills

• Know the properties of the states of matter.

• Define atom, molecule, and compound.

• Convert degrees Celsius to Kelvin

• Convert Kelvin to degrees Celsius.

• Use the factor-label method of conversion and apply it to a new situation.

• Work safely in the chemistry laboratory obeying all rules.

• Correctly use and read a thermometer.

• Correctly use and read a metric ruler.

• Correctly take data using a CBL system.
