TRANSFERRING FILES TO YOUR TEAM DIRECTORY

1. WSFTP-LE software will be used to transfer files from your hard drive to the WWW.NCSEC.ORG web server. If it is not already on your machine, then download the software from WWW.ECU.EDU/DOWNLOAD/WS_FTPLE.EXE. Follow the directions. The simplest install is to choose the "Run from current location" option. As part of the install process, you will need to select that you are a member of a K-12 institution.

2. Start WSFTP-LE and click on the "General" tab. Enter TEAM X (replacing the X with your team number) as the "Profile Name", WWW.NCSEC.ORG as the "Host Address", and enter TEAMX_2 as the "Password", replacing the X with your team number (example: TEAM21_2). Choose the "Save Password" checkbox and deselect the "Anonymous" checkbox. At the top of the box, click on the "Startup" tab.



3. Under the "Startup" tab, for "Initial Remote Site Folder", enter \CADRE2\TEAMX_2, replacing the X with your team number (example: \cadre2\team21_2). Click on "OK' at the bottom of the box, re-enter your password (TEAMX_2), and you should be connected.



4. Select the file from your local system (your hard drive-left side of screen) and use the arrows in the middle of the dialog box to move the file to the Remote site (server-right side of the screen).



5. If the file transfers correctly, then it will appear on the right side of the screen. If your volume is turned on, then you will hear a sound indicating the transaction is complete.

6. Your files can be viewed at WWW.NCSEC.ORG/CADRE2/TEAMX_2/FILENAME. Replace X with your team number and replace FILENAME with the name of your file.
