My motivation for teaching:
I enjoy experiencing and learning about science. I guess you might call it a natural curiosity that is never totally fulfilled. We probably will never completely understand the natural world and new discoveries are made every day. It is like a giant puzzle that is always changing. It is exciting to share my experiences with my students and to see them become interested in science.

My favorite quote:
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

A personal humorous school story:
One cold spring day, a group of students and I were conducting water quality testing down at the Mississippi River. I slipped and fell into the water and the students had to pull me out.
