My motivation for teaching:
I enjoy seeing people learn and it is exciting to be able to help provide an environment which is conducive to learning.

My favorite quote:
"For I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed to Him against that day."

A personal humorous school story:
I like to go from the known to the unknown whenever possible when introducing new material. I a Pre-AP Geometry class I was introducing dilations so I asked what the kids thought of when they heard the word "dilation." Someone mentioned dilated eyes at the optomotrist. I asked for other answers. When no one responded, I asked about women having babies. One girl said that she thought of that but wasn't sure if we could talk about that in school. About that time, another girl in the back said, "I didn't know that women's eyes got bigger when they got pregnant." As soon as the words were out of her mouth, she immediately turned bright red and covered her mouth as she realized what she had said.
