My motivation for teaching:
The future is rapidly approaching and the students' needs are constantly changing. Having been a "military brat", I understand what obstacles my students are facing. It is especially difficult for them as they change schools several times during their years of education. But they also are getting an education living overseas that most students in the stateside schools will never have. Hopefully, I can help them overcome those problems.

My favorite quote:
"The future is now"

Waring Hudsucker
("The Hudsucker Proxy")

A personal humorous school story:
I'm not sure how humorous it is to you, but when my former students seem to get a laugh, I guess it is somewhat humorous.
It was a dark stormy morning I was getting dressed. When I was ready to put on my socks and shoes, I could not find my socks and went back to the room to get another pair. I managed to arrive at school on time. However, sometime during 3rd class of the day, a student decided to ask, "Mr. Hatchett, why do you have that pair of socks on your sholder?"
