2000/2001 Leadership Program

SC2001

The SC2001 Education Program was held at the Denver Convention Complex in Denver, Colorado, from November 10 - 15, 2001. Throughout the week, participating teachers underwent computational science training and learned how to use educational web-based tools and programs such as STELLA, Mathematica, GirlTECH, and a variety of other mathematical and visualization applications. Teachers also had a unique opportunity to view resource-intensive computational science, scientific collaboration, and leading-edge technologies from the world's most renowned research universities, laboratories, and centers. During off hours, teachers explored the scenic Denver area, located in a spectacular setting at the foot of the Rocky Mountains. At the end of the SC2001 Education Program, participating teachers received a CEU (Continuing Education Unit) certificate in recognition of their completion of 40 hours of leadership training at the SC2001 conference.
