By the end of the simulation, students should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the relationships between accelerations and velocities by:

Predicting and determining, the effect of car mass, road surface conditions (coefficient of friction), and initial velocity on the length of the skid marks that result from an RBE.

 

Rendering an EXCEL model of a rapid braking event in which they can demonstrate the relationships in #1.

 

Interpreting the model graphically.

 

Presenting and defending their model in class.
