Students should have already had instruction and practice in the concepts of velocity, acceleration, forces, and friction before engaging in this simulation.
They should also be able to successfully manipulate the equations that accompany the concepts, specifically:
V=d/t
A=v/t or Vf = vi – at
D=1/2 at2
F=ma
F(f) = m (F(N))
W = mg
It is also suggested that the students have some experience with Excel spreadsheets / graphs although the tool can be taught within the module.
