You might consider using this module as an assessment after students have completed coursework in mechanics. This was the original purpose for which this module was designed (see Assessment suggestions)

Excellent lessons with animations that could be used in class to review concepts and equations can be found at: http://www.sciencejoywagon.com/physicszone/lesson/default.htm

Try the lessons in Motion, Speed and Velocity, Acceleration (these are in a power point type format with clickable animations) and Force of Friction (which does a nice job of explaining coefficient of friction and contains a table of sample coefficients).

Another useful site for student review is The Physics Classroom http://www.glenbrook.k12.il.us/gbssci/phys/Class/BBoard.html

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety maintains a web site which might be useful during this module, especially for the Pre-Module Assignment: http://www.hwysafety.org/default.htm

This web site was created by the Kirkwood Computational Science Education Team, July 2001.
