    Teaching Tips!

The "Troubled Waters" module will take about a month to complete. You can set up your own timeline depending on how much class time you will use. Our students do the majority of the module outside of class. Our typical timeline looks like this:

*1 hour- introduction of the module:

-Review of background material. ( This will vary greatly depending on what you   have already covered, the level of your students, and the type of class)

-Explain what is expected of the student  (look at rubric under evaluation

*½-1 hour time blocks- teams working together as needed:

-Students will be working on their data interpretation and STELLA model

                -Researching their findings

*After 2 weeks- Data interpretation and STELLA parts of the module are turned into the teacher

-Teacher will grade these parts of the module and return before students write their letters.

After the graded part of the module is returned, the students will have 2 weeks to turn in their two letters.
