    What will I learn?


    1. Student will lie out for a flower plot; each square in the grid will be 1 ft.sq.

    2. Student will take soil samples of each sq and the pH of it. (Following soil sampling procedures)

    3. Students will check pH of the soil using either a soil probe or chemicals (procedures)

    4. Student will adjust the pH level of the soil for the plant they intend to grow.(steps)

    5. Hydrangea is the plant we chose for this model (the flower will change colors with different levels of pH)

    6. Students will add either aluminum sulfate or lime to obtain the correct pH for the flower color.

    Soil pH table below shows much Aluminum Sulfate and Sulfur is needed to lower the pH.
