    A Note To Students:

This is the introductory page to a "Problem-Based-Learning" exercise. Click the choice on the yellow bar at the left side of the screen called "Meet the Problem". You will see the letter sent to our science students from one of our teachers. The problem is a real one that can be modeled using data collected by chemistry students in the classroom discussed in the letter. This produces very interesting results. We encourage you to read the problem, think about what is actually happening at the molecular level to cause the problem, then develop an experimental design and procedure to solve the problem. The best understanding results when you also use graphic images to help you develop a visual model of the process taking place. Our students will be using STELLA modeling software because it can be used to produce both a visual model and a computational model of the system. Work through the links at on the yellow strip. Make sure you understand the process expected then dive in and see what kind of solution you can produce. Good luck. I will be interested to see your final report.
