Objectives

Upon completion of this project students will be able to:

  1. State factors affecting the period of a pendulum
  2. Observe and collect data from pendulum experimentation
  3. Use a spreadsheet to analyze the data collected
  4. Make predictions about the periods of pendulums of different lengths
  5. Develop/improve spreadsheet modeling skills
  6. Use STELLA modeling software to model simple problems
  7. Build and explain a STELLA model of the period of a pendulum
