Teaching Tips!


 
  • Students will need a printed copy of the Activity Sheet before running the Stella model.
  • Students need to be reminded to change one variable at a time when they run the Infestation model.
  • Students need to be told that the vertical scale on the graph for the Stella model changes as the beetle population grows exponentially.  
  • If your students do not have access to computers to work in small groups, you may use a teacher presentation station and use inquiry to "walk" through the model.
