Excel Models -- Most students having any computer background are familiar with Excel and utilizing the basics of this particular module.  Students can be taught easily to import data and graph data.  They can also utilize data and dump it into other programs such as Vernier's Graphical Analysis.

Stella Models  -- Most students can demonstrate thinking skills and place them into a flowchart.  It's the MATH formulas in this program that require thought.  Students can gain an appreciation of MATH through Stella and "see" the need for MATH through this.  An excellent book to learn Stella is: Lessons For a First Course in System Dynamics Modeling Using the STELLA Software by Diana M. Fisher.  Other information on Stella and its tutorials can be found at http://www.sustainabilityed.org/stella.htm.
